Both Real Madrid and Barcelona are heading into Sunday’s potentially title-deciding El Clásico with minimal injury worries.

Real Madrid currently leads their rivals by eight points, meaning anything other than a Barcelona win would effectively clinch the title for Los Blancos.

For Barcelona, a defeat would conclude a challenging week. Their Champions League aspirations were shattered on Wednesday with a 4-1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-final second leg.

In contrast, Real Madrid progressed to the semi-finals after an exciting penalty shootout victory over Manchester City.

Both teams are set to field strong lineups for what is expected to be a fiercely contested match.

Vinicius Jr and Dani Carvajal, who sustained minor injuries during the midweek game, are likely to be fit for Sunday’s selection after being substituted in extra time.

Aurelien Tchouameni, absent from the Man City clash due to suspension, is expected to return to the lineup with a full week of rest.

Barcelona, meanwhile, were missing Sergi Roberto and Andreas Christensen in their previous match due to suspensions.

Although Ronald Araujo has been instrumental in defense this season, his red card in the midweek fixture may influence his starting lineup inclusion, depending on his teammates’ responses.

Overall, both teams will be keen to secure a pivotal victory in the El Clásico as they compete for La Liga supremacy.
