Arsenal put on a dazzling display as Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard all scored in the first half, followed by a late penalty from Jorginho in their 6-0 victory.

This triumphant win not only highlighted Arsenal’s strength but also marked their 100th Champions League win. Manager Mikel Arteta praised the team’s determination, underscoring their emphatic qualification against a tough opponent.

Arteta expressed delight, considering the achievement a real dream. He credited the team’s aggressive approach right from the start as a crucial factor in their success.

The manager emphasized the importance of both not conceding goals at home and scoring abundantly. He urged the players to believe in their capacity to replicate such performances against strong rivals.

Securing qualification ahead of schedule allows Arteta to rotate the squad for Arsenal’s final group match against PSV Eindhoven on December 12. This tactical advantage lets him manage the team’s fitness and optimize their performance in the last group-stage game effectively.

Reflecting on the match, Arteta praised Kai Havertz for scoring his second consecutive goal, following his dramatic late winner against Brentford in the Premier League.

Arteta has been impressed by the German forward’s recent form, especially considering his challenging start after joining Arsenal from Chelsea in a reported £65 million transfer during the summer. He acknowledged Havertz’s strengths, including goal-scoring ability, overall contribution to victories, and the support he receives from teammates and fans.

Additionally, Arteta praised Declan Rice’s consistent and impactful performances in midfield. The English midfielder showcased exceptional understanding of the game, sound decision-making, and effective ball-winning abilities, earning admiration for his pivotal role in Arsenal’s recent triumphs.
