Florian Wirtz has stated that there is no set timeline for his future at Bayer Leverkusen.
The 21-year-old, who had an outstanding season with 18 goals and 20 assists, leading to a Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double and a Europa League final appearance, has attracted interest from top European clubs like Liverpool and Real Madrid.
Despite this, Leverkusen’s CEO, Fernando Carro, confirmed in April that Wirtz would definitely remain at the club this year.
Wirtz emphasized his focus on the upcoming season and title defense with Leverkusen, expressing contentment with his current situation and a lack of any specific plans for the future.
Regarding Leverkusen’s title defense, Wirtz acknowledged the threat posed by Bayern Munich but stressed that the difference between Bayern and other top teams has decreased, and Leverkusen will not be arrogant but aim to compete strongly.
