Carvajal’s injury has heightened Madrid’s interest in pursuing Alexander-Arnold as a potential replacement. Although Ancelotti has the experienced Nacho as an option, the urgency to fill Carvajal’s role in January has intensified.
Alexander-Arnold, who is in the final year of his contract with Liverpool, is seen as a viable target for the Spanish giants.
However, despite Madrid’s strong interest, Liverpool are determined to retain the 25-year-old defender.
