Liverpool stars Mohamed Salah and Harvey Elliott have addressed questions about their futures, offering intriguing responses.

Following the Reds’ 2-1 victory over Lille in the Champions League, both players were asked about their plans by reporters.

Elliott, who has been linked to a potential summer move—previously associated with Newcastle—dismissed any such speculation. Speaking to TNT Sports, he said, “It’s pretty clear… I’m not leaving. This is my team, this is my club!”

Salah, whose contract expires in June and who has been rumored to be considering a move to Saudi Arabia, was more reserved.

After scoring his 50th European goal for Liverpool, he was asked about the possibility of reaching another milestone. His response: “I’m not sure about that, but I’ll give it my best.”

Reflecting on the game and his achievement, Salah added: “Hopefully I’m not the last to reach this. I wasn’t focused on the record before the match, but I’m very proud and happy—especially since we won, which is what matters most.

Lille had an excellent game plan; they were unbeaten in 21 matches and proved tough opponents. I’ll give them credit, but I’m glad we secured the win.

Liverpool’s triumph over Lille at Anfield solidified their position at the top of their Champions League group. It also marked their seventh consecutive victory in the competition.

Salah opened the scoring in the first half, giving Arne Slot’s side the lead. Lille equalized through Jonathan David despite being reduced to 10 men after Aissa Mandi’s red card. The decisive moment came when Elliott’s deflected shot sealed the win for Liverpool.

Barcelona’s dramatic 5-4 win over Benfica means Liverpool still need one point to confirm their place as group leaders. However, with 21 points from seven matches, no team can surpass their tally.

Liverpool head into their final group-stage match against PSV, knowing a draw will secure their progress, as their Champions League dominance continues.
