Liverpool are busy preparing for the new Premier League season under head coach Arne Slot.
The Dutchman is overseeing pre-season training at the AXA Training Centre ahead of his first season with the Reds.
Later this month, Liverpool will travel to the United States for friendly matches against Real Betis, Arsenal, and Manchester United.
Off the pitch, Liverpool are being linked with several potential new signings in the summer transfer window but have yet to make any additions to the squad under Slot’s leadership at Anfield.
The ECHO highlights some of the latest Liverpool stories circulating online and on social media.
Philippe Coutinho completes transfer
Former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho has joined Brazilian club Vasco da Gama on a season-long loan deal. The 32-year-old, who left the Reds for Barcelona in January 2018 for £142 million, has left Aston Villa temporarily and will now play for the club where he began his career.
Villa confirmed on Wednesday that Coutinho has returned to Brazil on loan, following his previous loan stint in Qatar with Al Duhail.
Diogo Jota sent pre-season return message
Former Liverpool star Steve Nicol has advised Diogo Jota to return for pre-season training as soon as possible.
Jota, who was with the Portugal squad at Euro 2024 and lost to Spain in the quarter-finals, is currently on a summer break. However, Slot believes Jota should forgo the break and join Liverpool’s pre-season preparations immediately.
