Liverpool will confront a significant absence of key players in the eagerly awaited Premier League clash against Manchester United this Sunday.

Heading to Old Trafford, the Reds are determined to avenge their heartbreaking FA Cup quarter-final defeat from last month and maintain their position at the top of the Premier League table, ahead of both Arsenal and Manchester City.

Jurgen Klopp’s team anticipates a tough battle against Manchester United, particularly after narrowly clinching crucial victories against Sheffield United and Brighton & Hove Albion in their recent encounters.

In their 3-1 victory over Sheffield United on Thursday, Liverpool witnessed the return of Curtis Jones to action following his lengthy absence due to an ankle injury sustained against Brentford in February.

Furthermore, defender Andy Robertson rejoined the lineup after missing the previous weekend’s win over Brighton due to an injury suffered while representing Scotland internationally.

Despite Liverpool’s optimism, they will be without the services of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota, and Alisson Becker, despite their recent progress in injury recovery. Additionally, long-term absentees Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara, and Stefan Bajcetic will also be unavailable for selection.

However, there is a glimmer of hope for Liverpool with midfielder Wataru Endo expected to return after missing the previous match due to a knock. Klopp expressed confidence in Endo’s availability for the showdown at Old Trafford.

The Liverpool squad available for Sunday’s fixture against Manchester United includes:

Goalkeepers: Caoimhin Kelleher, Fabian Mrozek, Adrian.

Defenders: Andy Robertson, Conor Bradley, Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Jarell Quansah, Kostas Tsimikas.

Midfielders: Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, Curtis Jones, Ryan Gravenberch, Harvey Elliott, Bobby Clark, James McConnell.

Forwards: Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Jayden Danns.

Additionally, the availability of Wataru Endo remains uncertain, while Joel Matip, Alisson Becker, Diogo Jota, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Stefan Bajcetic, Thiago Alcantara, and Ben Doak are confirmed unavailable for selection.
