The ECHO was at Anfield to assess Liverpool’s players following Forest’s first win at the stadium in over 55 years.

Alisson Becker – 6

Had little to do in the first half aside from playing a pass from left-back to Robertson. Couldn’t stop Forest’s goal and made a late save from Elanga.

Trent Alexander-Arnold – 6

Delivered a good cross for Mac Allister’s header in the first half but was kept busy defensively. Moved to midfield after an hour but didn’t make much of an impact.

Ibrahima Konate – 6

Defended solidly when needed, particularly in a tussle with Gibbs-White. Substituted.

Virgil van Dijk – 6

Forest’s attacks mostly avoided him, and he was effective in clearing set-pieces. Headed a late corner over the bar.

Andy Robertson – 6

Had some struggles against Yates and dealt with threats on his side. Offered limited forward play, booked, and substituted.

Ryan Gravenberch – 7

Made key interventions early on and helped push Forest back before halftime. One of the few players to maintain his performance level in a poor second half. Booked.

Alexis Mac Allister – 6

Took a few tough challenges from Yates but set up a chance for Jota and had a header saved by Sels. Substituted.

Mohamed Salah – 5

Struggled with his touch throughout a frustrating match. Forced Sels into a save in the second half but took a few speculative shots, irritating the crowd.

Dominik Szoboszlai – 5

Had difficulty finding his rhythm and made several poor decisions. Improved slightly after the break but not enough. Booked.

Luis Diaz – 6

Hit the post after keeping the ball in play and won his battle with Aina before halftime. Faded in the second half. Substituted.

Diogo Jota – 5

Had limited service and had to drop deep to find the ball, often running into dead ends. Substituted.

Conor Bradley (for Mac Allister 61) – 5

Defended well against Hudson-Odoi initially but allowed him inside to score the winning goal.

Cody Gakpo (for Diaz 61) – 4

Failed to get into the game and often drifted into central areas.

Darwin Nunez (for Jota 61) – 4

Appeared rusty, with poor touch and decision-making. Made no impact on the game.

Curtis Jones (for Konate 75) – 5

Made his first appearance of the season.
