Erik ten Hag has adjusted his evaluation of Manchester United’s performance against Coventry, acknowledging that his team “failed to meet the standards” he had set.

Despite United’s eventual victory against Coventry in the FA Cup semi-finals, Ten Hag admitted disappointment with the manner in which they achieved it, especially after squandering a 3-0 lead and allowing their opponents to force extra time.

Although initially dismissing criticism and emphasizing the importance of winning, Ten Hag’s tone shifted in the United program for the Sheffield United match, where he acknowledged the shortcomings in their performance and the need to maintain control throughout the game.

Amid growing speculation about his future at the club, Ten Hag is keen to maintain support from the fans, especially with key figures like Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Avram Glazer observing their matches closely.

Despite his frustration with criticism, Ten Hag remains proud of reaching the FA Cup final for the second consecutive season, emphasizing the achievement of reaching four cup finals in four years.
