Vinicius Jr. of Real Madrid has sustained an injury that will keep him sidelined for several weeks.

The Brazilian winger played the full 90 minutes in Real Madrid’s recent La Liga victory over CD Leganés, but it seems he did not emerge from the match without injury.

What injury does Vinicius Jr. have?

Vinicius has suffered a hamstring injury, which reports suggest will keep him out for around three weeks, with a possible return in mid-December when Real Madrid competes in the Intercontinental Cup.

Early reports from Spain indicate his return could be on December 18, coinciding with the final of that tournament.

What games will Vinicius Jr. miss for Real Madrid?

Vinicius will miss Real Madrid’s upcoming matches, including the UEFA Champions League fixture against Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday.

He will also be absent for games against Getafe (Dec 1), Athletic Club (Dec 4), Girona (Dec 7), Atalanta (UCL, Dec 10), and Rayo Vallecano (Dec 14).

The player addressed the injury on Twitter after Real Madrid’s official medical report, commenting, “The crazy calendar, time to recover!”
