Victor Osimhen Edges Closer to Manchester United Move After Agreeing Personal Terms

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly reached a personal agreement with Manchester United, moving one step closer to a potential high-profile summer transfer, according to Turkish journalist Serdar Çelikler.

Speaking on a podcast, Çelikler stated: “Victor Osimhen has agreed terms with Manchester United. What remains now is the agreement between the two clubs.”

Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has enjoyed a stellar season, scoring 29 goals and adding six assists in 34 appearances.

His impressive form has made him a key target for United, who are actively seeking to strengthen their forward line

With Rasmus Højlund struggling for consistency—managing just three Premier League goals—new boss Ruben Amorim is reportedly considering a change at striker. Osimhen fits the profile of the proven, elite-level forward United are now prioritizing.

Though personal terms have been settled, United still need to strike a deal with Napoli. Osimhen has a €75 million (£63m) release clause, but reports suggest the Italian side might be willing to negotiate a lower fee.

Juventus are also interested, but Napoli are hesitant to sell to a Serie A rival, which gives United a potential edge in the race. That said, Osimhen is keen on Champions League football — and United’s qualification for the competition could prove crucial in sealing the deal.

Meanwhile, Turkish journalist Ali Naci Küçük claims United have offered a staggering £660,000 per week (pre-tax), which would make Osimhen the highest earner at the club. Juventus and United have reportedly both tabled offers worth €20 million annually.

Galatasaray, where Osimhen is currently thriving, hope to keep him, but financial limitations may prevent that. The club is unlikely to match his reported wage demands of €15 million per year. Still, Galatasaray’s vice-president Ibrahim Hatipoglu remains hopeful, noting Osimhen’s affection for the club.

Asked about his future, Osimhen kept things vague: “There are always rumours, but I focus on the present. I’m happy here — both with the club and my life right now.”

Having joined Galatasaray on loan this season, with the Turkish side covering a portion of his salary while Napoli handles the rest, Osimhen now faces a summer full of possibilities. A move to Old Trafford looks increasingly likely — but nothing is sealed yet.

If the reports from Çelikler and Küçük hold true, the Osimhen-to-United saga is heating up fast.
