Arsenal’s concerning series of poor performances continued with a third consecutive loss, this time facing Liverpool.

Despite recent defeats against Fulham and West Ham, Mikel Arteta and Martin Odegaard aimed to bounce back by securing a victory against a depleted Liverpool side missing Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo.

Despite Liverpool’s weakened squad, Arsenal saw this match as an opportunity to make a statement in this crucial game at the Emirates Stadium.

In the first half, Arsenal displayed dominance over Liverpool, creating several scoring opportunities, particularly for Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka. Despite their control, the score remained 0-0 at halftime.

Liverpool resiliently defended against Arsenal’s attacks and eventually capitalized on a late own goal by Jakub Kiwior to take the lead. Arsenal fought hard to come back, but their defensive weaknesses were exposed.

In the final moments, Liverpool’s Luis Diaz scored a second goal on a counterattack, ending Arsenal’s FA Cup journey after just one match this season.

Arsenal’s current situation has pushed them into a crisis, leaving fans puzzled by the unexpected home defeat against a Liverpool side missing key players. The team clearly needs a significant improvement in form following this disappointing loss.
