Reports indicate that Sir Jim Ratcliffe is eager to offload two Manchester United players whom he believes are receiving “inflated contracts.”

An official statement on the club’s website confirmed that Sir Jim Ratcliffe has completed the acquisition of 25% of the club’s Class B shares and 25% of its Class A shares, following the satisfaction of all conditions, including approvals from the Football Association and the Premier League.

This milestone was jointly affirmed by Manchester United plc (NYSE: MANU) and Trawlers Limited, a company wholly owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

INEOS, led by Ratcliffe and his team, will assume responsibility for the team’s football operations, while the Glazers will maintain control over the business aspects.

In a bid to trim the club’s wage bill, Ratcliffe and his associates purportedly plan to offload certain players during the forthcoming summer transfer window.

According to iNews, the INEOS contingent reportedly aims to part ways with players deemed to be on “inflated contracts,” including French defender Raphael Varane and Brazilian midfielder Casemiro.

Varane, previously of Real Madrid, is anticipated to depart in the summer upon the expiration of his contract.

Meanwhile, interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia has emerged for 32-year-old midfielder Casemiro, sparking speculation about his potential exit from Old Trafford.

Under the stewardship of Erik ten Hag, Manchester United has encountered a challenging season, failing to live up to expectations.

Currently positioned sixth in the Premier League standings, the Red Devils face an uphill battle to secure qualification for the Champions League next season.

Following a 1-1 draw with Burnley at Old Trafford, some fans expressed their discontent by booing the team at the final whistle.

Reflecting on the match, ten Hag remarked, “Every team experiences moments where they concede opportunities.”

However, he maintained that despite the disappointing outcome, the team has performed admirably and created numerous scoring chances.

He underscored the importance of maintaining composure and focus, highlighting the team’s entertaining style of play and promising second-half performance.
