According to reports from Spanish outlet Sport, Liverpool is considering Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr. as a potential replacement for Salah if the Egyptian forward decides to leave the club.
It’s rumored that Liverpool, along with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, are preparing to make a substantial offer of £171 million to secure the Brazilian winger from Real Madrid.
However, the report mentions that Real Madrid has no intention of letting go of Vinicius Jr. and is instead looking to extend his contract for another five years. Vinicius Jr. has had an impressive season, with 18 goals and 8 assists in 28 appearances for Real Madrid.
Overall, he has contributed 77 goals and 72 assists in 253 games for the Spanish club, according to Transfermarkt data.
There’s speculation that Liverpool may consider selling Salah this summer, especially after receiving significant bids from Saudi clubs last year, including a reported £150 million offer from Al Ittihad, which Liverpool allegedly rejected on the deadline day.
With Salah’s contract expiring in 2025 and Jurgen Klopp set to leave at the end of the season, there are uncertainties about Salah’s future at Liverpool.
