You know the season has started when Mo Salah is breaking records once again, as he did against Ipswich Town, but it seems some still need convincing of his talent.
Speaking on LFCTV, Gary Gillespie said: “We talk about Mohamed Salah being a world-class footballer, but is he really world-class? I don’t think so, but his stats suggest otherwise because they are outstanding.”
Gillespie’s statement seems contradictory, as he both questions and acknowledges Salah’s world-class status, despite the forward’s 300 goal involvements in 350 games for Liverpool.
It’s easy to counter any doubts about our Egyptian King, as his numbers and achievements speak for themselves, indicating that, if anything, the 32-year-old is underrated.
