Liverpool have reportedly reached out in recent days regarding the potential transfer of Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, who could be allowed to leave the Bernabeu.
The French international has been a key figure for Madrid in the past, and just a short time ago, Fabrizio Romano described him as a “top player” with an important role to play.
However, it now appears that Real Madrid may be open to selling Tchouameni for the right price, with Liverpool linked to a potential €60m deal by Sky Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
Tchouameni has shown great promise and could be a valuable addition to Liverpool or any other top club if Real Madrid is genuinely willing to let him go. This move would, however, be a surprising decision from the Spanish giants if it proves to be true.
The report also suggests that Real Madrid could replace Tchouameni with players like Manchester City’s Rodri or Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez.
While Rodri would be an ideal target after his Ballon d’Or win and stellar performances, it seems unlikely that Manchester City would part with him under any circumstances.
On the other hand, Fernandez has struggled at Chelsea, making it questionable whether selling Tchouameni is the best choice.
This is definitely one to keep an eye on, as Liverpool seems to be making some early moves to bring the former Monaco midfielder to Anfield.
While Tchouameni could be a good fit for Arne Slot’s side, it’s unclear whether he should be a priority given the current form of Liverpool’s midfielders.
