“We never anticipated this outcome; it’s truly heartbreaking,” Liverpool coach Arne Slot announced devastating news this evening regarding rising star Conor Bradley. Following their win against Real Madrid, Slot confirmed that Bradley has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Real Madrid came with a double injury concern, casting a shadow over their preparations for Sunday’s top-of-the-table clash with Manchester City.

Goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo secured the win, but the Reds were left worrying about the fitness of Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley after the match.

Bradley, who started at right-back in place of Trent Alexander-Arnold, impressed against Kylian Mbappé and provided the assist for Mac Allister’s opening goal.

The Northern Ireland international delivered a standout performance but was forced off late in the game after appearing to suffer a hamstring injury during an attacking run.

Clutching the back of his leg, Bradley eventually went to ground, prompting Joe Gomez to replace him. He left the field to a standing ovation and was embraced by manager Arne Slot as he limped off.

Meanwhile, Konate collapsed in pain following the final whistle. After receiving treatment on the pitch, he limped down the tunnel, visibly uncomfortable.

With Liverpool set to face Manchester City on Sunday, these injuries pose a fresh challenge for Slot, just as the team’s fitness issues seemed to be improving.

If Bradley is unavailable, Alexander-Arnold, recently recovered from a hamstring issue, could be recalled to the starting lineup.

Alternatively, Gomez may fill the role. In central defense, Gomez or Jarell Quansah could partner Virgil van Dijk if Konate is ruled out.

The potential absences of both players come at an inopportune time, adding to Liverpool’s concerns ahead of a crucial Premier League showdown.
