Liverpool fans are eager for the team’s return to action after an unexpected break, but new injury concerns have arisen.

According to Paul Gorst, writing for the *Liverpool ECHO*, Tyler Morton will miss the Champions League trip to Girona after sustaining a training injury on Monday.

While Morton’s absence may not seem critical due to his limited first-team opportunities this season, the timing is unfortunate.

With Alexis Mac Allister suspended and a busy schedule ahead, this could have been an opportunity for the academy graduate to feature more prominently.

Fortunately, it appears the 22-year-old’s injury isn’t serious, and he shouldn’t be sidelined for long.

Despite making six appearances in all competitions this season, only two have been with the first team, one of which was a start—highlighting his limited involvement.

Morton, often compared to Xabi Alonso by his teammates, is well-regarded within the squad.

He shares a strong connection with fellow young players like Harvey Elliott, Conor Bradley, and Jarell Quansah, having risen through the academy together.

Although Morton’s long-term future at Anfield seems uncertain, his path forward hinges on making the most of any opportunities that come his way.

For now, his progress has been interrupted by injury, but fans will be hoping for a swift recovery and a chance for him to demonstrate his potential.
