The Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton was not without controversy, not least a late-game challenge by Ibrahima Konate that was arguably deserving of a red card.

Everton will have felt aggrieved, especially after seeing Ashley Young sent off earlier in the game.

Jurgen Klopp admitted after the 2-0 victory that the Reds got lucky with that decision, which is why Konate was quickly substituted.
