After his team fell to the Gunners, Manchester City defender Kyle Walker got into a heated fight with an Arsenal coach. Erling Haaland took part.
It took place shortly after the game, which Arsenal won 1-0 following a close contest.
When Gabriel Martinelli’s deflected shot caught City goalie Ederson off guard in the 85th minute, the game was finally over.
That was more than enough to send the Emirates into a frenzy, and the energy persisted both on and off the field after the game.
Sky Sports cameras captured Walker and Haaland being gathered by referees and an Arsenal coach as the two sides returned to the tunnel.
Later, additional video revealed that the English player and Nicolas Jover, the Gunners’ set piece coach and a former City employee, had engaged in physical contact.
Haaland then went over to the two and stood up for his teammate. Both players were then escorted away after the altercation was broken up.
Jover can be seen waiving his finger in a zoomed-in video at Arsenal player Bukayo Saka, who is unable to play due to illness.
Walker and the set piece instructor got into a fight, but no one seems to know what caused it.
Pep Guardiola, the manager of City, said nothing about the situation in his post-game press conference.
He added, “I know what occurred, but I don’t want to say anything. They are conscious of it.
With the victory, Arsenal rose to second position by a 1-0 margin. With 20 points, Mikel Arteta’s club is currently equal with Tottenham for the lead, but going into the next international break, they trail them on goal differential.
On the other side, after dropping its second consecutive Premier League match, City drops to third position. Wolves defeated Guardiola’s squad 2-1 in Molineux on Saturday.
