Trent Alexander-Arnold will have a scan on a possible hamstring injury he sustained in Liverpool’s victory over Aston Villa, according to Jurgen Klopp.
Due to an injury issue, the 24-year-old was forced to leave the match on Sunday at Anfield in the 71st minute and was replaced by Jarell Quansah.
Alexander-Arnold’s outing, which was possibly his best of the season thus far, came to a dismal conclusion. TAA made a strong impression in his inverted full-back position against Aston Villa, and he was even given credit for an assist on Dominik Szoboszlai’s game-opening goal.
Alexander-Arnold had a scan to establish the seriousness of the injury, according to manager Klopp, who gave an update on the player to the media following the game.
“I’m interested as well,” he added. I’m not exactly sure. His hamstring, in his judgment, is not too seriously injured.
“The scan must be delayed,”
Regarding the victory itself, Klopp was eager to praise his squad for a “top performance” against a skilled Villa club.
“An early goal will benefit the game, as they say in sports, and it absolutely helped us. It was a magnificent goal, and during practice, it had been stressed that Dominik posed a threat if the ball were to travel in that area.
“In general, the game was extremely good. I have the utmost respect for Aston Villa and Unai Emery because of what they’re doing; we have learned this from all of our encounters with them.
Today, we were incredibly resilient, and it is a crucial message for us that we are capable of such feats.
“I witnessed a number of outstanding performances, a lot of desire, which is crucial, organization, and a willingness to stand together in defense. Due to the way we defended, we had more counterattacks than in any other game.
After the break for international play, Liverpool will return to Premier League action when they take on Wolves at Molineux.
