The rescheduled Merseyside derby at Goodison Park is just over two weeks away, and a recent announcement regarding the match may raise some concerns among Liverpool fans.

Originally set for December 7, the match was postponed due to Storm Darragh and will now take place on February 12. Liverpool’s recent away record against Everton has been underwhelming, with only two wins at Goodison Park since October 2011.

This, combined with the news of the appointed referee, might make some Kopites anxious about the outcome.

The Premier League confirmed this morning that Michael Oliver will officiate the Merseyside derby, with Chris Kavanagh on VAR duties. Meanwhile, Darren England will referee Liverpool’s upcoming match against Bournemouth on Saturday, with John Brooks available for VAR assistance.
