Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is eager to move to the Premier League next season and has already held discussions with Liverpool.
According to TBR Football, Liverpool are keen on signing the 26-year-old forward, though they’ll face strong competition from Manchester United.
Osimhen, widely regarded as one of the top strikers in world football, impressed with 37 goals in 41 appearances for Galatasaray during his recent loan spell.
He would be a significant addition for either Liverpool or Manchester United, and it remains to be seen which club will make a formal move for him.
Osimhen has recently rejected a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, reinforcing his desire to compete at the highest level in Europe.
With his future at Napoli seemingly over, the Italian club is expected to offload him permanently this summer. His contract includes a £63 million release clause, and the question now is whether Liverpool or United will meet that valuation.
Liverpool, in particular, are in need of a more consistent striker. Darwin Nunez managed only seven goals across all competitions last season, and the club is looking for a more clinical finisher.
