Erik ten Hag maintains his confidence in Manchester United’s progress despite their recent setback, a 2-1 defeat to Fulham, marking their 15th loss of the season.

Although the team’s five-game winning streak ended, Ten Hag sees a broader perspective, noting that they are currently eight points behind the fourth spot for Champions League qualification in the Premier League standings, with 12 games remaining.

While acknowledging the need to address specific areas like injuries and squad depth for better team balance, Ten Hag remains optimistic about the emergence of talented young players, indicating a positive direction for the club’s future.

Despite the challenges faced this season, including 10 losses in the Premier League and eight home defeats across all competitions, Ten Hag attributes some setbacks to unforeseen circumstances such as the injury-enforced withdrawal of Casemiro during the Fulham match.

Nevertheless, he praises the team’s resilience and character, especially in their ability to respond after conceding goals.

Despite missing key players like Casemiro and Licha Martinez, Ten Hag expresses confidence in the squad’s adaptability and performance.

Looking forward, Ten Hag emphasizes the importance of learning from setbacks, regrouping, and preparing for future challenges.

He stresses the need for continuous improvement and resilience as the team strives to bounce back from defeat and maintain their momentum.
