Liverpool’s squad could look significantly different next season compared to the current campaign.
Several key players, including Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, face uncertain futures as they enter the final year of their contracts. Alexander-Arnold, in particular, has been heavily linked with a potential move to Real Madrid.
Another departure could involve Luis Diaz, who may even face Alexander-Arnold in La Liga next season. According to *Antena 2* in Colombia (via *SPORT*), Barcelona have informed Liverpool of their intention to pursue Diaz at the end of the season.
The Catalan club has long been interested in signing a new left-winger, with Diaz on their radar even before his move to Liverpool. They reportedly considered signing him last summer but ultimately did not proceed with the transfer.
Barcelona has now reignited their interest, informing Liverpool of a potential €70 million offer for the Colombian international during the upcoming summer transfer window. Barcelona president Joan Laporta is a known admirer of Diaz and aims to bring him to the Camp Nou.
Diaz has been a key figure for Liverpool this season, contributing 12 goals and three assists in 27 appearances for the Premier League and Champions League leaders.
However, with no new contract signed and his long-term future uncertain, the Reds may face a challenge in keeping him at Anfield despite his current deal running until 2027.
Meanwhile, Darwin Núñez has also been linked with a controversial move to Manchester United, adding to the speculation surrounding Liverpool’s squad overhaul.
