Darwin Nunez “doesn’t suit the way Jurgen Klopp plays,” thus Liverpool has been warned they “cannot win the Premier League” if he starts.
Nunez joined the Premier League’s biggest teams last summer from Benfica at an initial cost of almost £64 million.
In his 57 Liverpool appearances, Nunez has contributed 31 goals, yet he has drawn criticism for being a raw talent who occasionally wastes opportunities.
The Uruguayan international has nevertheless demonstrated his ability to score goals clinically, and Liverpool should benefit from him in the long run.
However, former Reds defender Jose Enrique is unsure. Nunez “doesn’t suit” Liverpool, in his opinion, thus “Diogo Jota is a better striker.”
Enrique told Grosvenor Sport that Darwin Nunez “is never going to be a world class striker, especially with the way Liverpool play.”

Darwin cannot be your starting number nine if you want to win the Premier League, in my opinion. His style of play is not in line with Jurgen Klopp’s.
He could destroy the opposition if your squad is one that counterattacks; it would work well for him. But he’s not the type to press hard and use his front foot intensely.
Liverpool and Luton Town drew 1-1 over the weekend, with Luis Diaz scoring a late equalizer. According to Enrique, Liverpool “did not deserve to win that game.”
