Reports suggest Manchester United might consider selling a key player in January to secure a substantial transfer fee when the window reopens.
Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has encountered various challenges this season, both on and off the pitch at Old Trafford. Jadon Sancho’s public dispute with the Dutchman led to the English player being excluded from the squad since September.

To fortify their budget for potential signings, Manchester United is reportedly open to considering offers for Jadon Sancho in January, allowing the club to avoid his hefty £250,000 weekly salary.
The club hopes to secure a substantial fee for Sancho’s skills, potentially through a loan or permanent departure in the upcoming year. Alongside interest from several Saudi Pro League teams and his former club Borussia Dortmund, reports indicate Juventus, a significant Serie A team, is also considering the 23-year-old.
Despite being referred to as a “brilliant footballer” by Ten Hag, Sancho has struggled to leave a significant impact at Old Trafford. With 82 appearances for the Premier League giants, the player has scored 12 goals and provided six assists (Sancho statistics – Transfermarkt).
Given his prolonged absence from the starting lineup, it might be beneficial for both parties to conclude his tenure at Manchester United sooner rather than later, potentially avoiding criticism surrounding his continued absence.
