Liverpool is reportedly in advanced negotiations with RB Salzburg to loan out Stefan Bajcetic.
The 19-year-old midfielder is unlikely to get the playing time he desires this season, as Arne Slot prefers Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, and Ryan Gravenberch as his main midfield trio.
Highly regarded by the Dutch manager and seen as a future leading number six, it makes sense that the new Liverpool boss would want Bajcetic to continue his development, even if it means spending the season away from Anfield.
Stefan Bajcetic is set for a loan move to RB Salzburg.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool is working on a deal that would reunite Bajcetic with former assistant manager Pep Lijnders, now the head coach at RB Salzburg.
While multiple La Liga clubs are also interested, Lijnders’ connections and influence are likely to sway the decision in favor of the Austrian side.
Bajcetic, who has three years left on his contract, has made 22 appearances in all competitions since being promoted to Liverpool’s first team two years ago.
His only goal came against Aston Villa in the Premier League on Boxing Day during the 2022-23 season.
