Manchester United are reportedly interested in bolstering their right-sided attack during the summer transfer window, with Pedro Neto being one of the names under consideration.
Under the management of Erik ten Hag, the team appears to have improved their form in 2024 after a difficult start to the season, securing five wins in their last six matches, including an away victory against Aston Villa in their recent outing.
A key contributing factor to this resurgence has been the decision to deploy Alejandro Garnacho on the right wing, where he has scored four goals in six games since the positional change.
The right side of attack has been a recurring issue for United, with Antony and Jadon Sancho initially identified as the primary options for that position at the beginning of the season.
However, Sancho is currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund following a fallout with Ten Hag, while Antony has struggled to demonstrate significant improvement from his disappointing debut season at Old Trafford.
Garnacho’s recent form has provided United with much-needed quality in that area, but concerns remain regarding the depth of the squad.
According to MailOnline, amid doubts surrounding the form of Antony and Sancho, as well as the lack of alternatives in the absence of Garnacho, United have been discussing the possibility of reinforcing the position during the summer transfer window.
Alongside the anticipated target Michael Olise, who has been strongly linked with a move to United, Pedro Neto of Wolves has also been mentioned as a potential option.
The report suggests that Neto is being actively considered for a transfer in the summer, with Manchester City, Arsenal, and Newcastle also identified as potential destinations if there is interest in the Portuguese international. Neto has contributed three goals and 10 assists in 18 appearances so far this season.
