Mohamed Salah declined to elaborate on his disagreement with Jurgen Klopp during the match, stating: “There is going to be fire today if I speak.”
During the 2-2 draw, Salah engaged in a touchline dispute with Klopp as he prepared to enter the game alongside Joe Gomez and Darwin Nunez in the second half.
Despite Salah’s animated argument with Klopp, he was ultimately sent on to attempt to score a winning goal after Michail Antonio equalised.
Nunez intervened to escort Salah away from the situation, and Salah, upon leaving the London Stadium, was unwilling to disclose further details about the incident.
When asked about the incident, Klopp stated: “We spoke about it in the dressing room but it’s done for me. That’s all. That’s it.” When questioned if the matter was resolved for Salah as well, Klopp replied: “It was my impression, yes.”
The draw saw goals from Andy Robertson and an own goal by Alphonse Areola cancelling out Jarrod Bowen’s opener before Antonio’s equaliser secured a point for David Moyes’s side.
As a result, Liverpool now trail league leaders Arsenal by two points, with Arsenal facing local rivals Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.
