After the Crown Prosecution Service dropped charges against him in February 2023—charges of attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behavior, and assault resulting in actual bodily harm, all of which he denied—the 22-year-old decided to continue his career away from Manchester United and joined Getafe.
