Manchester United fans called for the dismissal of manager Erik ten Hag following a 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, marking a tough start for the Red Devils.

The match began poorly for United, with Tottenham’s Brennan Johnson scoring from a Mickey van de Ven cross within three minutes, frustrating fans early on.

United’s troubles worsened when captain Bruno Fernandes was sent off for kicking out at James Maddison.

Throughout the first half, United struggled to match Spurs’ intensity, leading to frustration among fans both in the stadium and online.

Tottenham continued to dominate in the second half, with Dejan Kulusevski doubling their lead shortly after the break.

As the game slipped away, chants for ten Hag’s sacking echoed from United supporters, especially after Dominic Solanke added a third goal. By then, many fans had left the stadium or expressed their discontent online.

Social media reactions reflected deep dissatisfaction, with fans criticizing ten Hag’s lack of a clear game plan and the regression of talented players. Calls for a more aggressive playing style and better team organization added to the criticism.

Football pundit Gary Neville also condemned United’s first-half performance, calling it one of the worst under ten Hag.

He singled out Fernandes’ red card and Rashford’s mistakes, adding to the mounting pressure on the manager following another disappointing result.
