Fans are stunned by the amount Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr is willing to pay for Manchester United’s Casemiro.
Several Saudi clubs, including champions Al Hilal, are interested in the Brazilian midfielder, but Al Nassr, owned by Cristiano Ronaldo, has made him a top priority for next season.
Initial talks have taken place, with Casemiro reportedly keen on joining other high-profile players in Saudi Arabia. After a disappointing second season at Manchester United, his status has dropped significantly.
According to Caught Offside, Al Nassr is prepared to offer up to €100 million (£85 million) for the 32-year-old, just short of the Saudi club record set by Al Hilal’s £86 million signing of Neymar.
Fans have reacted with surprise and humor, with one person commenting, “Imagine we got that much for him,” and another saying, “I speak for all Manchester United fans when I say that if you give us that much money, we would all buy one Al Nassr shirt each.”
Another fan added, “I will personally drive him there,” while someone else said, “This must be a joke. Take it and run.”
