Manchester United made a late attempt to derail Aston Villa’s bid for Everton midfielder Amadou Onana.

Despite this, the Belgian international is still expected to complete his transfer to Villa Park, according to Het Nieuwsblad.

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s Scott McTominay might be on the move, with Tottenham Hotspur leading the race to sign the 27-year-old, potentially beating Fulham to his signature, as reported by The Sun.

Barcelona winger Raphinha has shown interest in returning to the Premier League and has been offered to top clubs, including Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Manchester United, Newcastle, and Tottenham, according to HITC.

However, Arsenal seems more focused on acquiring Wolves winger Pedro Neto instead of Raphinha.

Arsenal is ahead of Tottenham in the race for Neto’s signature, largely due to their ability to offer Champions League football, as noted by TEAMtalk.

The Gunners have decided to end their pursuit of Crystal Palace center-back Marc Guehi due to his hefty £70 million price tag, The Mirror reports.

Additionally, Brentford is set to lower their asking price for Ivan Toney to below £50 million due to a lack of interest.

Tottenham and West Ham United are seen as the most likely destinations for the striker, according to The Sun.

Real Madrid aims to sign Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold on a free transfer when his contract expires next summer, as per TEAMtalk.

There are also rumors that Virgil van Dijk could leave Liverpool this summer, with the club eyeing Juventus’ Gleison Bremer as a potential replacement, according to Fichajes.

Chelsea, continuing their search for a new striker, has been offered the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain duo Randal Kolo-Muani and Goncalo Ramos, HITC reports.

Meanwhile, Dani Olmo of RB Leipzig has received strong offers from Bayern Munich and Manchester City. However, Barcelona remains keen on the midfielder, as noted by Mundo Deportivo.

Despite Manchester City’s initial reluctance to trigger Olmo’s £51 million release clause before it expired, they are now reportedly leading the race to sign him, according to Football Insider.

Real Madrid, having missed out on signing Leny Yoro, is now interested in Borussia Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck and Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie, as reported by Rodra.

In managerial news, Eddie Howe is not in a hurry to leave his position as Newcastle United manager, despite being considered a serious candidate to replace Gareth Southgate as the England boss, according to Football Insider.

These developments illustrate the dynamic and strategic nature of the football transfer market, where clubs are actively looking to strengthen their squads before the new season.
