His resurgence included impressive performances in the final four games of the season, notably in the FA Cup final against Manchester City, where United triumphed.
During this period, Amrabat showcased his exceptional passing ability and work rate, leading to considerations for a permanent move to Old Trafford.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the club is not ruling out this possibility, though a final decision may depend on the future of manager Erik ten Hag.
Both Amrabat and Ten Hag are represented by the same agency, Sports Entertainment Group.
United’s star midfielder Casemiro had a challenging 2023/24 season, facing injuries and inconsistent performances.
His struggles, marked by frequent loss of possession and being bypassed by opponents, resulted in him losing his starting spot to Amrabat in the FA Cup final.
Given these issues, United might consider selling the Brazilian veteran, especially with interest from Saudi Pro League giants Al-Nassr, who are reportedly prepared to offer a substantial fee.
In contrast, Amrabat has demonstrated potential as a valuable asset. Morocco manager Walid Regragui described him as a ‘world-class’ player, and his recent performances suggest he could provide reliability and depth in United’s midfield.
Securing Amrabat could be financially feasible, with funds from Casemiro’s potential sale offsetting the transfer cost.
