Manchester City has been fined £2.09 million by the Premier League for 22 infractions related to kick-off delays, separate from the 115 Financial Fair Play (FFP) charges they are currently facing.

These violations, occurring over the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, involved delays in both match start times and half-time restarts.

The Premier League emphasized in a statement that these rules are essential for the professional organization of the competition and to maintain the broadcast schedule for all 380 league matches.

Manchester City accepted the sanction, apologized, and reminded their players and management teams of their responsibilities.

This fine is in addition to the ongoing legal battle between Manchester City and the Premier League over alleged breaches of financial regulations.
