According to 90min, Manchester United intends to start negotiations with manager Erik ten Hag about a new deal.

Ten Hag took over as manager of United in 2022, and during his first season, the team finished third in the Premier League and won the Carabao Cup. United has replied with two victories in as many days, but the new campaign has started difficultly with four losses thus far combined with a number of off-field problems. They won 3-0 on Tuesday night against Crystal Palace.

The Dutchman’s contract with United runs until June 2025, with the possibility of a further year’s extension. However, it’s believed that negotiations for a renewal were always scheduled for approximately 18 months after the original agreement was made. The club’s leadership has already communicated with Ten Hag’s camp and plans to stick with them.

The Glazer family declared ten months ago that they were “commencing a process to explore strategic alternatives” about ownership transfer or investment in the club. Since then, the process has caused instability for both the staff and the club.

Since taking office, Chief Executive Richard Arnold has been granted control over procedures, and he is making an effort to carry out player and staff contract renewals in the usual manner. Over the summer, Marcus Rashford inked a new long-term contract, and Ten Hag is reportedly now set to speak.

Despite recent challenging outcomes and off-field problems, Ten Hag is believed to be extremely satisfied with Arnold and John Murtough, who still fully support him. They think Ten Hag is still the best player to guide United ahead, and they recently showed their support for the 53-year-old during a rift with Jadon Sancho.

The club wanted him to “set and control standards” because “there was no good culture” prior to his arrival from Ajax, as Ten Hag recently acknowledged in public. Despite the substantial financial and wage investment made in Sancho in 2021, the management has the complete support of the powerful.

After yet another public altercation with Ten Hag in the previous year, Cristiano Ronaldo quit the team, and Harry Maguire lost his leadership recently as well. The club views Ten Hag as the key role in maintaining discipline and togetherness among players and staff during the unrest surrounding the club’s ownership.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim are still in the running to buy United from the Glazer family, although they have not heard back from them yet. Even the Raine Group, in charge of managing the takeover on the family’s behalf, is awaiting word from the Glazers regarding the status of the proposals made for United. It is thought that they are waiting for a complete transaction to reach £6 billion.

In order MUN to come back on their form they should send away (sucked) Ten Heg because he don’t know how to select first team and even making substitutions is a problem to him
