Man City is reportedly set to break their transfer record this summer with the potential signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala.

According to TEAMTALK, Man City is willing to splash out up to £120 million for the talented midfielder, surpassing their previous record of £100 million spent on Jack Grealish in 2021.

At just 21, Musiala is among the most promising young talents in the game and can operate as a winger or attacking midfielder.

His ambition to play in the Premier League is clear, and with nearly 100 appearances for Bayern since 2020, he has also made his mark as a successful German international, earning 27 caps.

Guardiola is keen to bolster the squad’s dominance for the upcoming season, despite their chances of securing a treble, given their place in the FA Cup semifinals and the Champions League quarterfinals.

Musiala, along with Phil Foden and Erling Haaland, would ensure that Man City continues their reign as a dominant force, forming an irresistible attacking trio.

Guardiola has a history of not hesitating to pay top dollar for players he believes will strengthen the team, and Musiala appears to be the latest example.

With De Bruyne nearing 33 this summer, Man City is preparing for his long-term successor, and Musiala’s talent and profile make him a prime candidate for that role.

Having showcased his skills with Bayern Munich and Germany, Musiala’s creativity and finishing ability are clear.

With much potential left to unlock in his career, he could further refine his game under Guardiola’s leadership and alongside world-class players in the dressing room.
