Kaoru Mitoma, a winger for Brighton, is apparently a target for Barcelona, who could make a bid for the Japanese star in the upcoming summer.

The Catalan club is reportedly trying to enhance their left flank in order to match the wealth of talent they have to choose from on their right side, according to Mundo Deportivo. The Brighton star has emerged as one of the Premier League’s top wingers recently, and other English clubs have expressed interest as a result of his performances.

Man City was reportedly one of the teams interested in the striker, according to The Daily Star, but Pep Guardiola acquired Jeremy Doku this summer to fill the void left by Riyad Mahrez.

The London World claimed last month that the 26-year-old is ready to sign a new long-term contract with Brighton, which will undoubtedly raise his asking price before the upcoming two transfer windows.

The Seagulls won’t want to let the winger go anytime soon, but just as this summer, it will be difficult for the Premier League team to say no if a huge offer comes in, similar to that of the Moises Caicedo fee. Barcelona, however, won’t be able to do this because of their financial difficulties.
