After Rodri, an analyst claims that the 26-year-old sensation holds the utmost importance as Man City’s most crucial player. According to Charlie Davies, Ruben Dias stands as Manchester City’s most valuable asset, second only to Rodri.

Discussing on CBS Sports Golazo, the pundit praised Dias for his substantial impact as the linchpin of Sky Blues’ defense. Since joining Manchester City in 2020, the Portuguese international has been a standout performer at the Etihad Stadium, proving initial doubts wrong, as expressed by Garth Crooks.

Charlie Davies asserts that Ruben Dias, aged 26, holds the status of Manchester City’s second most influential player, following the declaration of Rodri William Saliba, who hailed Dias as the best center-back globally.

Highlighting the changes in Pep Guardiola’s team after Dias’s arrival, Rodri emphasized the Portuguese titan’s innate leadership and unwavering determination on the field.

Now with Rodri’s departure from Manchester City, Charlie Davies outlines Ruben Dias’s significance as the team’s second-most indispensable player.

“Ruby Dias is probably the second most important player on that team because he consistently executes well-timed tackles in defense,” the player affirmed on CBS Sports Golazo.

While some might disagree with Charlie Davies and opt for a different name in a team of Manchester City’s stature, choices like Erling Haaland, Bernardo Silva, or Kevin De Bruyne are reasonable. However, Ruben Dias, as demonstrated last season post-injury, has wielded an impact akin to some of the team’s greatest players.

Primarily, the three-time Premier League winner is arguably unmatched as a center-half in the box. Whether it’s crucial tackles, blocks, or interceptions, Dias consistently proves his prowess when threats loom in the penalty area.

There’s a prevailing notion that Ruben Dias naturally embodies leadership, organizing the defense and issuing commands to his teammates. As a result, it’s challenging to refute Charlie Davies’ assertion.
