Liverpool apparently plans to move for Lloyd Kelly in January.
According to a Football Insider report, the defender is allegedly thought to be reasonably priced, and Liverpool is apparently attempting to sign him before Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham continued to show interest in the 24-year-old during the summer transfer season. Spurs reportedly tried to sign him back then, but it’s still uncertain whether they’ll be successful in doing so in January.
In order to avoid losing Kelly for nothing when his contract expires at the end of the current season, Bournemouth will be open to the idea of selling him in January for a little sum of money.
Given that the Cherries spent £13 million for his services, it is unclear if rivals like Liverpool will be able to get him in January for a similar sum. The Reds require a versatile defender who can play both full-back and central defense.
Kelly has prior experience as a left-sided center defender as well as a left-sided left back. The player is only 24 years old, so with experience and guidance, he should only improve. The Bournemouth defender fits the mold well, and the Reds are fortunate to have him.
