Former Tottenham manager and current pundit Tim Sherwood has made a bold claim that Mohamed Salah is “100%” set to leave Liverpool this summer.
Salah has been linked with a move away from Anfield ever since his reported fallout with the club and Arne Slot in December.
After being left on the bench for three straight matches, he gave a fiery interview where he suggested the club had not supported him and hinted that someone internally no longer wanted him there.
He was later left out of the squad for the Champions League clash with Inter, although it’s believed the situation has since been settled privately. Even so, uncertainty over his future continues, with reports suggesting Liverpool may consider selling him at the end of the season.
Interest from the Saudi Pro League has not gone away. Al-Ittihad are said to have opened discussions with his representatives, and this time Salah is reportedly more open to the idea of making the move.
Tim Sherwood: Salah will leave Liverpool
Speaking on Sky Sports, Sherwood said he believes this will be Salah’s final season at Liverpool.
He explained that the Premier League should be grateful for what Salah has brought to the competition, describing him as one of the few truly world-class players of this era.
Sherwood added that, in his view, Salah will definitely leave in the summer and deserves a standing ovation for his service, whether or not he wins more silverware before departing.
Salah’s impact at Liverpool
Since arriving in 2017, Salah has been remarkably consistent, producing outstanding numbers year after year.
Although his form has dipped slightly this season, he has still registered 15 goal contributions in 27 appearances in all competitions. That includes an impressive display against Brighton, where he scored, provided an assist, and won a penalty.
Across his last six matches, he has scored twice and assisted four times, underlining his continued importance to the team.
Over the course of his Liverpool career, Salah has made 388 appearances as a right winger, scoring 224 goals and providing 111 assists. When used as a centre-forward, he has featured 35 times, scoring 28 goals and assisting eight.
With multiple records broken and major trophies lifted — including two Premier League titles, a Champions League, an FA Cup, and two League Cups — his exit would signal the close of a remarkable chapter at Anfield.
If he does move on, Salah is almost certain to receive an emotional farewell from supporters, securing his place as one of Liverpool’s greatest ever players.
