In the past, Liverpool has been linked to several gifted wingers to take Mohamed Salah’s place, and Rodrygo has surfaced once more.
Spanish media reports claim that Jurgen Klopp is keen to sign the Brazilian international to take Mohamed Salah’s place at Anfield, the Egyptian star.
Eduardo Inda claims that Klopp “loves” Rodrygo. The journalist (Diario Madridista) claims that:
“Klopp is not only an incredible coach, but he also values talented players.” He has a lot of respect for a Real Madrid player that the team’s management thinks highly of but who might leave if Mbappe signs in the summer. He is a player that might theoretically take Salah’s spot.
“Rodrygo is his favorite player.” He would be replacing the Egyptian, thus he would add him to the band. A few slots will be packed if Mbappe signs with Real Madrid.
Although Rodrygo is a versatile player who can play center forward or on either wing, his best position has been on the right flank.
He had five goals and two assists in Madrid’s 2022 UEFA Champions League winning campaign. The 22-year-old helped the Los Blancos score and assist on 30 goals in all competitions last season.
The Samba star has played in the No. 9 position since Karim Benzema left in the summer, but in 13 games this season, he has only scored two goals.
Since Rodrygo is not interested in being a pure striker, Madrid is willing to pay him about £87 million, or 100 million euros.
Salah, who is 31 years old, is still our best attacker despite his stellar stats since joining Liverpool in 2017.
The veteran is the Reds’ top goal scorer, therefore a top-tier playmaker with a track record of success would have to replace him.
