Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly eyeing Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, as reported by the UK Mirror. During the summer, Salah attracted significant interest from the Saudi Pro League.
Despite receiving several offers for the Egyptian star, Liverpool consistently rebuffed them. However, after turning down a £150 million bid from Al-Ittihad, it is expected that they will come back in the new year with an even higher offer.
Klopp has already earmarked Sane as a potential successor to Salah, anticipating the latter’s departure from Liverpool.
Liverpool is willing to break its transfer record, which currently stands at the £85 million spent on Darwin Nunez, to secure Sane from Bayern Munich.
Sane made the switch to Bayern Munich in 2020 for £54.8 million from Manchester City and is currently in his fourth season with the German club.
