Moisés Caicedo hasn’t exactly had the finest start to his Chelsea career, it’s fair to say. The former Brighton star chose to move to west London over Liverpool, and his new team is likewise having trouble.

The completion of Liverpool’s new Anfield Road Stand was scheduled for the start of the 2023–2024 season. Anfield’s total seating capacity was expected to surpass 60,000 seats with the completion of the new and enhanced stand.
But since it was revealed that Buckingham Group, the business in charge of the extension, had entered administration, things have come to a complete standstill. Because the upper portion of the Anfield Road Stand is still under construction and cannot accommodate any fans, Liverpool is now losing almost $910k every game at Anfield.
That may not seem like much money in the context of football, but when multiplied across several home games, the problem becomes more significant. The Athletic claims that there have been rumors of “sabotage” against the project, however neither The Athletic nor Liverpool.com have independently verified these claims.
