Jadon Sancho is unsure about the potential interest from Saudi Arabia as a possible destination, but it seems likely that he will depart from Manchester United on loan in January.

Jadon Sancho’s representatives stand firm in their position that the player won’t be compelled to depart from Manchester United to the highest bidder, despite significant interest from European clubs and Saudi Arabia. Even as Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s potential acquisition of a 25% stake in the club approaches completion, it’s anticipated that Sancho’s departure from United during the January transfer window is probable.

Sancho’s absence from the first team traces back to a fallout with manager Erik ten Hag following a loss against Arsenal earlier this season. A public contradiction by the player on social media strained their relations. Although Ten Hag sought an apology to mend fences, the lack of such action suggests their relationship is beyond repair.

Numerous clubs have expressed interest in Sancho over the past year, yet few can afford a financial package that meets United’s criteria for his sale. While loan arrangements seem more plausible, Sancho remains hesitant about moving to Saudi clubs, despite their interest.

Sancho’s camp affirms their authority in determining his next move, considering potential changes in decision-makers at Old Trafford by early 2024. His desire to return to Borussia Dortmund, where he previously played, encounters complexity due to United’s financial commitments during his 2021 transfer. A potential loan back to Dortmund could be an option if United is amenable, with Sancho willing to reduce his wages for a move to Germany.

Juventus has displayed interest, yet similar to Dortmund, they may not meet United’s anticipated fee for a permanent transfer. United is open to loan deals with clauses triggering permanent moves based on appearances, while also contemplating longer-term loans to bolster Sancho’s market value. Furthermore, Spanish clubs have indicated their interest.

While Turkey remains an option, Sancho prefers remaining in one of Europe’s top leagues to rejuvenate his career.
