Jadon Sancho is uncertain about the interest from Saudi Arabia as he leans towards a potential loan departure from Manchester United in January.

Jadon Sancho’s representatives are adamant that the forward won’t be compelled to leave Manchester United to the highest bidder, despite growing interest from various European clubs and Saudi Arabia.

Reportedly, Sancho’s departure from United in the upcoming January transfer window is still expected, despite the nearing completion of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s acquisition of a 25% stake in the club and assumed control over the footballing structure.

Following a fallout with manager Erik ten Hag after the defeat at Arsenal earlier this season, which Ten Hag attributed to Sancho’s lack of dedication in training, the player responded on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), opposing his manager. This resulted in his exclusion from the first team, a situation that has persisted.

Despite Ten Hag’s desire for an apology from Sancho to repair relations, there’s been no indication of it happening, making reconciliation unlikely.

While several clubs have expressed interest in Sancho for over a year, including last summer and post-fallout, few can offer a financial package that suits United enough to prompt a sale. Loan deals seem more plausible at this stage, especially as Sancho appears uninterested in clubs in Saudi Arabia, despite prior interest.

Sancho’s representatives have conveyed that they will oversee his next move, although changes in decision-makers at Old Trafford could be expected by early 2024.

Sancho’s preference to return to Borussia Dortmund, his former club before joining United in 2021, is known. However, the financial aspects, including the transfer fee and his high wages at United, complicate a potential return. Any move back to Dortmund might necessitate flexibility from both clubs and the player.

Juventus also hold an interest in Sancho, but like Dortmund, they are not in a position to meet United’s expectations for a permanent move. United is open to loan deals with potential obligations for a permanent transfer based on appearances, while suitors prefer an option instead.

United is also open to longer-term loan deals, possibly up to 18 months, hoping to enhance Sancho’s market value for a potential future sale. Additionally, clubs in Spain have shown interest.

Although Turkey remains an option, Sancho’s preference is to stay in one of Europe’s top leagues to rejuvenate his career.
