Manchester United fans are calling for the sale of one of their summer signings after a disappointing performance against Aston Villa.
The match at Villa Park ended in a 0-0 draw, marking United’s sixth consecutive game without a win. Jonny Evans, 36, was the standout player, earning Man of the Match honors for his solid display in defense.
Throughout the game, many fans took to social media to demand that Erik ten Hag bench captain Bruno Fernandes, and by full-time, they were calling for his departure.
Joshua Zirkzee, who replaced Rasmus Hojlund as striker in the 64th minute, was criticized for his lackluster performance.
Despite scoring on his United debut in the season opener against Fulham, fans have grown frustrated with the Dutchman after just ten games.
“Sell Zirkzee in January and act like it never happened,” one fan suggested.
“Looks like Zirkzee has never played football before,” another said. “Sell him.”
“I’ve had enough of Zirkzee,” a third fan vented. “He plays for himself. Sell him to Go Ahead Eagles now.”
“Zirkzee is the most useless player in the squad,” another added. “Sell him immediately.”
