“It’s difficult for him”: Fabio Carvalho, an LFC loanee, addressed his future amid Leipzig’s difficulties.

With his opportunities in the starting lineup of RB Leipzig still being somewhat restricted, Fabio Carvalho’s football career is still far from assured.

According to Christian Falk, things may be about to change in that regard because the young Portuguese player is anticipated to be a key player in the Bundesliga team’s next cup match against Wehen Wiesbaden.

Dani Olmo usually fills in for Fabio Carvalho. It’s not easy for him because he’s wounded, but there are other players with greater experience, like Emil Forsberg and Christoph Baumgartner, available,” the German journalist stated in his special CaughtOffside column.

“In the upcoming games, Marco Rose will switch up his lineup, and it’s widely believed that Carvalho will get an opportunity to start for Leipzig against Wehen Wiesbaden in the DFB Pokal.

“He is having difficulty right now because there is a lot of competition.”

The former Fulham Academy student made a splash when he joined Liverpool the previous summer, but he never quite managed to win over Jurgen Klopp.

Of course, a loan spell could alter the present viewpoint; Jarell Quansah and, more recently, Harvey Elliott are excellent examples of that.

But with the attacking line currently well-stocked and the Merseysiders’ midfield significantly strengthened, Carvalho has an extremely difficult task ahead of him if he wants to establish his value at Anfield.

There may still be minutes waiting for him back home in Liverpool next term if he can settle into life in Germany quickly, beginning with what many at the AXA training center think would be a notable showing in the DFB Pokal.
