It seems that Manchester United will exclude Harry Amass, Jack Fletcher, and Ethan Wheatley from their squad for Thursday’s Europa League game against PAOK at Old Trafford.

The three players were absent from Wednesday’s open training session at Carrington, and United has since announced they are included in the UEFA Youth League squad for tonight’s match against FK Zalgiris.

United’s Under-19 team will face the Lithuanian side at Leigh Sports Village in the second leg of their UEFA Youth League second-round clash, after a 5-2 win in the first leg last month.

Ahead of tonight’s game, United confirmed that Amass and Wheatley have been added to the Youth League roster.

Both Amass and Wheatley were substitutes in United’s recent Europa League game against Fenerbahce.

Amass, Wheatley, and Fletcher have been used as substitutes in United’s last three games, with Jayce Fitzgerald among the replacements against Chelsea and Leicester City.

However, only Daniel Armer and Jack Kingdon from the youth squad were part of the 25-man United team that trained in front of the media on Wednesday, indicating that Amass, Fletcher, and Wheatley likely won’t be involved against PAOK.

Amass, who has yet to make his first-team debut, may start at left-back for the Under-19s tonight. Wheatley joins a forward line that includes Gabriele Biancheri, Bendito Mantato, and Victor Musa.

Sekou Kone, a summer signing, could make his European debut for the youth team tonight. He debuted for the Under-21s last weekend as a second-half substitute in their 5-2 loss to Sunderland.

Another recent addition, Chido Obi-Martin, is not participating in tonight’s UEFA Youth League match.

Manchester United’s incoming manager Ruben Amorim was reportedly emotional after an injury in training sidelined three players who were expected to be key against PAOK in the Europa League today.
